Wishing I was Buk
He had enough spunk and spice
Enough cosmic visions and orgasmic power
That he could erase it from his mind
And never forget
He could dangle in one foot
One hand over his head
Counting crystals and soil
Learning lessons of timelessness
Happiness
Selflessness.
He could write it all down
Twirl it around in cyberspace
Land on cables and wires
Untouched
Unscathed
Seeking to banish convenience
Extinguish the fires of anguish.
Plant the Stoic wisdom of the land
Gather crops of wisdom and content
But for all his exuberant livelihood
He could not understand-
If not for pain and anguish,
Struggle and blood,
New love and lost love
Fear,
Hatred,
Disease,
Violence.
We would all be so damn happy
We would eat each other alive.
